Social Media

I'm writing an article on social media and social networking for the 2010 issue of Creative Jewelry. What a vast topic this is! I've just read The New Rules of Marketing and PR: How to Use Social Media, Blogs, News Releases, Online Video, and Viral Marketing to Reach Buyers Directly by David Meerman Scott. My interest is in how jewelry designers can market themselves and their art online. I'll be interviewing the following designers: Lorelei Eurto, Heather Powers, Ronna Sarvas Weltman, and Leslie Rogalski. Stay tuned for more info!

After seven years as an editor at Interweave Press, I am now freelancing as Dickerson Ink. The idea of being a free agent is liberating. I owe that to Daniel Pink, author of Free Agent Nation.
